No More Shadows

No more shadows
We were young bucks
In the meadows
when i met you
sunlight shinning through the canopy
we wandered
like stray cats
on sidewalks in Harlem
street lights guiding you to me
gracefully your hair wrap slipped off
there in central park
we slept beneath the trees
I know that love’s a cliche
But i need it anyway
No more shadows there to hide us, they inspire us
like the subject matter in a painting screaming to be free
I wish that we could ride this train forever
no destination
just perfection next to me
I know that love’s a cliche
But i need it anyway

Sarmust Washington, D.C.
"Dancey love songs and sometimes some opinions on stuff..."
Sarmust attempts to create a new sound
that is rooted in separation but ultimately about activism. The lyrics of the songs toy with Sufi notions of love, while still pounding the rebellious beat of dissent.
Guitar / Vox - Omar Pitras Waqar
Keys - Nicholas Michalopoulos
Drums - Austin Gaske
